State Evaluation Procedure of Maryland Medical Marijuana Card
After getting the recommendation from our licensed doctor, you will need to register with the Maryland Medical Cannabis Commission (MMCC) and complete your application process online with the state department.
Note: The applicant needs to complete and submit the enrollment procedure in one session. If the patient does not submit the application process simultaneously, the applicant will have to register again.
Step 1: Register with Maryland Medical Cannabis Commission (MMCC)
After getting certification, patients have to log in to the OneStop official portal of Maryland Medical Cannabis Commission (MMCC). Patients who do not have an MMCC account will create a personal ID by clicking on the “Register” button and filling in the following details:
- First and Last Name
- Valid Email ID
- Create and Confirm Password
After filling in all the required details, submit your details by clicking on the register button. After creating the account, you will need to log in so that you will be able to register with Maryland Medical Cannabis Commission (MMCC).
For Adult Patients (18+ years of age)

Minor Patients (Less than 18 years of age)
A patient who is less than 18 years old needs to have at least one caregiver. The caregiver should be committed to the patient’s accounts every time. Check out here to know more about the application procedure of minor patients.

For Caregivers
Like adult and minor patients, the caregivers also need to register with Maryland Medical Cannabis Commission (MMCC) before getting assigned for the minor patients or the adult patients who are unable to purchase or possess medical marijuana due to their physical or medical inabilities. Step 2: Get Evaluated
After the registration, the Maryland Medical Cannabis Commission will evaluate your application in less than 30 days to determine whether you need a medical marijuana card or not. You will receive a confirmation email from MMCC, including your User ID and Patient ID, for further process.
Step 3: Download the Temporary MMCC Patient ID Card
After the Maryland Medical Cannabis Commission (MMCC) approves your registration, the department will issue you a temporary MMCC patient ID card. Note: Ensure that you have your Patient ID Number issued by Maryland Medical Cannabis Commission (MMCC) while purchasing medical marijuana from the dispensary.
