State Evaluation Procedure of New York Medical Marijuana Card

After receiving the reference from our authorized doctors, you will be required to enroll with the New York State Department of Health (DOH) and complete your application online with the state.

Step 1: Register with New York State Department of Health (DOH)

Once certified, patients have to log in to the official portal of DOH. Patients who do not have a New York government account will have to create a personal New York government ID by clicking on the “Don’t have an Account?” button. For Adult Patients (18+ years of age):

Minor Patients (Under 18 years of age):

Step 2: Get Evaluated

After the registration, the department will evaluate your application, whether you need a medical marijuana card or not. It can take fourteen to thirty days for the application evaluation. You can log in to the official portal of DOH to know about your application evaluation.

Step 3: Download the Temporary Registry Identification Card

After your enrollment is authorized, the department will issue you a Temporary Registry Identification Card. You can use this card along with a government-issued photo ID card until you get your registry identification card by mail.
