Is Medical Marijuana Legal in South Carolina?

South Carolina is one of the few states that does not have a medical marijuana program. But the use of CBD (cannabidiol) was approved on June 2, 2014, when the SC Senate passed S 1035, or “Julian’s Law.” Only patients suffering from epileptic conditions who have not responded to traditional treatment are eligible for medical cannabis containing no more than 0.9% THC and 15% CBD.
