Possession and Cultivation Limits of Medical Marijuana in VI.

If you have been in the Virgin Islands for less than 45 days but are under the supervision of a doctor, you can qualify as an Outpatient. The doctor must be licensed in the USVI. This is for patients wishing to come to the Virgin Islands for marijuana treatment that may not be accessible in their state or country. The cost is the same as the nonresidents.
Who Can Serve As A Primary Caregiver In the Virgin Islands?
To be qualified as a patient’s caregiver must:
- Be 21 years old or older;
- Agree to undertake responsibility for managing the treatment plans and well-being of the patient.
- Not be convicted of the illegal sale, manufacture, or distribution of a controlled substance.
A caregiver may only assist a maximum of 3 patients, including themselves. However, they may treat more patients unless a caregiver works for a healthcare facility.
